However, Wisestep respects the ownership of Intellectual Property and any violation in Copyright Laws will not be tolerated. To this extent, Wisestep provides a Redressal Policy for submitting complaints on the infringement of Copyrights by Users.
Members are warned to be cautious in their use of Company logos, trademarks and posted content, including texts, pictures and other material which might be copyrighted. Wisestep reserves the right to remove or block access to specific content posted on its website once it recieves a verified statement notifying an infringement of Copyright by the Member. Even if such content is not blocked or removed, the Member will be notified by email, and requested to remove the content at the earliest. The action Wisestep takes regarding Copyright infringement rests solely on its own discretion.
To submit a complaint on any Copyright violation, drop in a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Mention your Name and email address, a description of the copyrighted content you claim to have been infringed, its location within our website (including URL) and a statement that you are the owner of the Copyright or authorized by the Owner to act on their behalf. This Statement will be made under penalty of perjury and should be accompanied by an electronic or physical signature of the complainant.
The Member who has allegedly violated a Copyright will be allowed to issue a Counter-statement, defending their ground. The counter-statement should be mailed to email@example.com and should include Name and Contact Information, Description of the content which has been blocked or removed and a Statement of why you feel you had been improperly served with a Copyright Infringement Notice. Attach your physical or electronic signature to validate your Counter-statement. As this Statement might be legally scrutinized, Wisestep suggests its Members to consult an Attorney or a Lawyer before you submit the same.
While use of copyrighted material does not constitute infringement in most cases, Members are asked to be careful if they use copyrighted content without the consent of the Owners. Kindly keep Wisestep clean, honest and professional !
